Day 20: The (not so) Secret Elves

This morning these three elves in true elf fashion braved the rain and went around the town being "Secret" elves! It was quite the adventure in the  hurricane torrential down pour!!
We got some funny looks as we attempted to pass out hot chocolate to the homeless who often stand outside Trader Joes. Come to find out, not all homeless people want hot chocolate!! But those who did seemed grateful for the hot drink! (note: carter puts on his own shoes and socks now! Also note his military hair cut given to him by his father who got a new hair cuting kit from his friend)!!
We continued on our adventure in the rain to find some of these guys...
(note: both girls wearing headbands they made. Katie's consists of the cotton piece you get from inside a jewelry box and a few other do dads, it was cracking me up the entire day, but I promised her if she held off wearing it to church that she could wear it all day Monday)!!!
Then we walked the rainy parking lot to get to Target where the kids   elves picked out a toy to deliver to the Fire Station...
It was a wild Secret Elf adventure, but the kids seem to enjoy it! We finally arrived home where we changed into warmer clothes and then the kids baked and decorated cookies with their friend Rylee then they cozied up and watched a Christmas movie.

We are SO excited to not have school & homework for two weeks!

Advent catch up:
Day 15: Go as a family to Ella's Kindergarten Pajama Christmas sing. It was DARLING!
This little guy was SO SO SO sad he could not go up on the stage with Ella! It was SO sad!
Ella singing with her friends! Too cute!
Day 16: make Christmas cards and wrap presents for teachers and friends and nurses and PE teachers and everyone else we love at school! (i can't take credit for making these, just found those on-line, b/c I forgot to take pictures of ours)
Day 17: Pick up aunt Sandy from the airport
Day 18: family fun day
Day 19: Christmas choir at church, family dinner at smith's and Christmas choir at church
