A few weeks ago we got a flyer in the mail that looked similar to this picture above. It was a coupon for Sea World. I did not think much about it, but Carter sure did. He would carry that flyer around and show everyone that walked in the picture of the turtles. It got Bryant and I talking about how fun it would be to take the kids....and the next thing I knew a trip was planned... all because a little boy loved those turtles on the flyer. I should write Sea World a letter and tell them their advertisement totally worked. (p.s. their coupon was an awesome deal too, we got all the kids in for free.... saving us over $250)!!
Although he looks like he wants to beat someone up, Carter really was happy about being there.
We started off seeing the dolphin show. I was too into it to get any pictures, but it was awesome!
Next we fed these guys and they were nuts!
Our cousins/friends came to San Diego with us too! So fun! Here is Carter and Audrey waiting for the animal show to start.
This was my favorite part! These big ol guys just hung out by the window and I swear they were waving at us.
we finished the day with the star fish touch tank. Super cool! Then it was off to the hotel....
We stayed the night in San Diego, ate dinner with the Thompsons at the Cheesecake Factory (yum) and then spent the day in the pool on Saturday.
Once we got home, I was wiped out! The longer I am a parent, the more I appreciate my parents for all that they did.
Family trips are a lot of fun, but man, they are a lot of work!
Super worth it though!

Sometimes (always) I get tears at Sea World. I can't handle it. Which is a little strange because you would never put me in the "animal lover" family. I just love the magic of that place. Glad it was fun.
What a fun trip! I know it's a lot of work, but it's worth it...those memories are priceless, right?
What good parents you are. Looks like the kiddos loved it! Epic summer 2011 rolls on :)
i love sea world. I love the shamu show with the music it always makes me think i want to train whales too. Can we play soon?
glad we could let the good times roll!
But the question is ... Did Carter get to see the turtles???? :)
Looks like fun! Nat would love it :)
