Summer Fun

We love Summer Time!
Here is what we have been up to the last few weeks....
(in super random order)
Pool Fun on the Fourth of July!

Exploring Woods Cove in Laguna Beach
Carter loved going under, over and through those big waves!

Katie was away at Tennis Camp having a blast, so we explored some non accessible beaches!

Ella in her Mermaid Cove!

Visiting Baby Cal and new mom Sandy!
Cal was born on July 2 and could not be any cuter! We are in heaven!

Adventure Playground / Mud Park in Huntington Beach.
My mom took us here a bunch as a kid and I was excited to take Carter and Ella while Katie was having fun at Tennis Camp, as this park is not accessible!
Pretty Much kid heaven!

Katie and good friend Almaz with US team cup & Paralympic coach Dan James!
These girls were excited to have a fun week at Tennis Camp learning from the best!
This was Katie's first time at a camp, being away from home without us for a week! She was totally independent and did a wonderful job, while also having a total blast!

Ella is our dog lover. She is obsessed with dogs. She is always reading and doing research about different dogs. She loves going to the dog park and the animal shelter. One Summer afternoon, we spent the afternoon visiting the dogs at the shelter. Ella spent quality time with each dog. She would read about them and get so excited when she saw the ones that were getting adopted soon! While we were there, a kind veterinarian took the time to talk with Ella and gave her some great information about dogs.... And then she told her that with a parent, she could start volunteering at the Animal Shelter!!! Something Ella has been dreaming about forever! Ella was ecstatic....I on the other hand got sweaty palms just thinking about all the dogs that were going to attack me!!!

While Sandy was still recovering, I got to spend the day with her and Baby Cal. I love seeing Sandy as a Mom. She is amazing and just radiates with happiness. And Baby Cal is just dreamy!!!!

Katie home from Tennis camp after six days of being away! She missed us, but she might have missed Max more!!

Carter and Ella did Surf Camp again this year! They had an awesome week catching waves and playing on the beach with friends!

Carter catching a wave while Ella looks on

Ella riding the wave all the way to shore!

Annual Duffy boat ride around the bay!
We love this fun Summer tradition we do with my family.

Just a few days before Cal was born!

Arts and Crafts Day at home.
The kids did some cool printmaking.

Ella at the Penelope Lane Boutique! She had her own booth selling necklaces with charms. She sold out within a few hours! She had the best time and looks forward to being in future boutiques!

Surf Ninjas on the Streets of Seal Beach!
Carter and his good friend Jake after Surf Camp!

Going out to Dinner with the Birthday Girl! Katie turned 12 just a few days after school got out! We had a pool party with a few of her friends and then we took her on her Birthday Date. We went to Claim Jumper and Grandma and Grandpa Hull met us there too!

She has taught us so much these past twelve years!

I think this is one of the sweetest friendship moments I have ever witnessed. Katie was crawling to the water, when her sweet friend, Tabi, scooped her up and said, "Katie, I'll carry you."

This was taken the day after school got out. We woke up and headed straight to the beach where we spent the rest of the day!

Carter's first wave of the Summer. He got up and rode it all the way to shore! This was a week before Surf camp started. After this day, he could not wait to get into the water again for more surfing!

Katie taking her board out for the first ride of the Summer! She caught some great waves and had a blast! The waves were so perfect that day! Just the right size!

Stake Activity Days Daddy Daughter Date Night at the Church.
It was a luau theme and these three had a great time together!
