2014 was the Summer of Surf.
We surfed a lot this Summer.
And when I say "we," I mostly mean these four.
I just tumbled around in the waves making a fool of myself while cracking the kids up and embarrassing my husband (even though he said he was proud of me)!

Ella and Carter started off the Summer in a super fun Surf Camp.
We highly recommend M and M Surfing School in Seal Beach.
Their staff is so fun and friendly and the kids had an awesome time.
They especially loved surfing with their good friends Jake and Baylee!

These four were so cute every morning getting into their wet suits and getting their boards ready for surfing!

Carter caught on really quickly. He has incredible balance and it was awesome to watch him catch the waves and stay standing all the way into shore!

Bryant would come down during the day and watch the kids surf and loved every second of it!

Surf camp was at the beginning of the Summer, so once it was over, we spent the rest of the Summer down at the beach whenever possible, letting the kids practice their new skills.

Another highlight from the "Summer of Surf" was when Katie received her new, custom surfboard for her Birthday! She was SO surprised and SO excited! Here she is with Matt Parker, the owner of Album Surfboards who designed and shaped Katie's board. Bryant gave him some ideas and suggestions to help shape the board to best help Katie with her balance and Matt made it perfectly! Katie just thought we were going out to lunch for her Birthday, but when we showed up at a surfboard shop and then Matt came around the corner with her board, she was beyond thrilled! It was awesome to witness! Thank you Matt for creating the perfect board for Katie!
